About Me

Apoline Read
Hi! I'm Paulina De La Hoz Rangel, best known as Apoline Read online. I'm a mexican-colombian illustrator, graphic designer and animator based in Barranquilla. With a strong foundation in digital illustration and editorial design, I've honed my skills in character design, information layout and motion graphics through more than three years of freelance experience and higher studies. I've worked with clients such as Caribe Afirmativo, Junior F.C., Alcaldía de Barranquilla (Barranquilla Mayor's Office), singer Gia Darcy and DJ Jacob Bornhoft, among others. I'm most passionate about visual storytelling and I thrive on challenges, embracing each project as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Mio, my personal assistant.

Paulina (but you can call me Pau)
I've been drawing and writing stories since I have memory. It's always been an integral part of who I am because it allows me to bring my perception of the world to life and share it with others. Aside from that, I enjoy jamming to my favorite songs in my room, watching the same five movies and collecting fun socks. Oh! And I can't live without my big, funky earrings!
Red Grid Magazine
Red Grid is a digital design magazine published yearly by Universidad del Norte. The project was first created in 2022 in the Urbanism, Architecture and Design Faculty, and it aims to give students and graduates a space to maximize their abilities by collaborating to creatively design articles about topics related to our fields of study and interests. I've been an active member since the first edition as an editorial designer, writer, editor and head of the Sticker Bazaar Committee, which is in charge of planning and coordinating the Sticker Bazaar, an event for artists to showcase and sell their work within the academic community.
